Answer: Not that I know of. It reaches temp, keeps cooking until temp reached, shuts off but turns on again when set temp has gone below. No difference in cooking time. -

Does this mark wooden tables?
Answer: No, it doesn't mark wooden tables but you might want to put a cover on table to keep the fat from getting on. -

What is the actual length and width of the cooking surface?
Answer: It's as long as it is and wider than sausage. -

Can this be used outside at the garden or caravan?
Answer: We use ours outside all the time while caravanning or to supplement BBQ. Cannot see any problem as long as it is not raining. -

Answer: I'm not sure on the temperature itself. It has 5 settings and I usually use ours on 3 and it cooks lovely. All I can add is that we have had ours for 4 years and still going strong. Highly recommend thinking about buying another one that good. Won't be disappointed. -
