The stone mill is easy to use, easy to clean and looks good. It can be used to mill various grains such as wheat berries and beans. It is well-made and durable. The mill is pretty fine but for those who want super fine, it may be necessary to sift the flour a bit. It is not recommended for grinding oily items or large beans. It can crack malted barley, make pastry flour from soft wheat, or create any fineness needed for any kind of flour or porridge. The quantities and grains used have never seemed to stress the machine. It is likely to get used on any given day and doesn't create much dust. It is noisy but not deafening, and the noise level is what is to be expected of two stones rubbing together at high speeds.
