The Milescraft 1097 is a compact drill stand that can be adjusted telescopically and can hold rotary tools such as Dremel. It can be used in both horizontal and vertical positions. However, the tool-holding mechanism has too much play and wobbles, resulting in imprecise holes. The base is light, which causes it to topple, so a clamp is suggested to keep it steady. It is not recommended for drilling hard surfaces like stone, and it doesn't work with a 1/2" drill. Though some feedback has been negative, the drill press has zero lash. Some users had difficulty with the tool-holding mechanism's compatibility, which may require remaking. Overall, the Milescraft 1097 is compact, easy to assemble, and perfect for small jobs.
