The skeleton model is best used for home study of individual bones as it comes disarticulated with only one hand, one foot and the vertebral column coming articulated. The ribs are made of off-white plastic, similar to the other bones. The skull is not completely anatomically correct and has no internal markings. There is no definite answer as to the sex of the skeleton, but the only difference between male and female skeletons pertains to the size of the pelvis opening and skull. The bones come with etched numbers and letters on them, however, there was no list to match the corresponding letters and numbers to ensure the identification accuracy. The skeleton model doesn't have outstanding packaging or delivery. Overall, the product is suitable for home study and it’s ideal for studying AP, physiology and anatomy. It can be used as a study tool for anatomy 1 but cannot be used alone. The skeleton is accurate in detail, and it has an excellent price point. The product seems durable and the bones are well defined and accurate, but the skull is not anatomically correct, and some of the cervical vertebrae are inaccurate. However, the model comes with all the landmarks required for an Osteology lab class.
