Answer: That is one thing that confused me at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. On my watch, the black dot represents hours and the red dot represents minutes. Get the black dot in the hour circle you want, then move the red dot around to the required minutes. -

Answer: Yes it can. However the problem is when the battery was replaced the guy that replaced it did not line up the hour and minute dots with the hole in an exact fashion. The minute dot can be adjusted but the hour dot is off kilter and I hope that it can be adjusted as I cannot do so just by manual efforts. -

Answer: I would not want to test its waterproof capabilities. Remember: you are working with an all wood product...no metal at all. It is an incredible watch...out of the water. -
