It works with MacBook as well as iPad but an adapter is needed to connect the iPad. The product is good with Yamaha DTX sounds, it has portability and flexibility and has the ability to install new tunes and play with hands, fingers and sticks. It is versatile and can be used as a set without pedals while programming some of the pads to add bass drum when hit harder to play bass drum and hi-hat/cymbal with one stick. It has a technical support team that responds within 24 hours to resolve issues but it can be difficult to learn how to operate and make different settings due to the vague manual. The iPad app is great, however, it crashes regularly. The module is great for stage use, but it may not be recommended for other uses. The pads are inConsistent with poor dynamics, so fast sticking is impossible, and it experiences skipped beats when playing at faster speeds. The pad feels are better, but the touch feature is somewhat better. It is made of plastic instead of metal and has poor dynamics. The variety of sounds is impressive, the ability to layer and modify is useful, and the stock sounds are decent. It is well built, sturdy, and responsive. The Yamaha DTX Multi Pad is good overall, but has some technical issues and a learning curve.
