The cord is around 6 feet long and the range is approximately 25 feet. The cord is low voltage with a black conductor for ground, red for +3.7V, and blue for the signal to turn on the outlet. It takes at least 12ft+ for the sensor to work, does not work behind glass, and cannot detect small animals. Some customers have reported issues with the motion sensor, with some saying that it works for only a short period of time.
