The plug is designed for low voltage/amperage, making it perfect for data lines. However, it might not be suitable for high-current connections. It is not clear if it carries UL authorization but is deemed to be of good quality for this price range. The connectors are easy to mate, but they come with a limited mounting flange, causing it to spin if not tightened properly. While the connectors are generally of good quality, some found that they do not take solder well and that it might mess up the plastic.
