The John Sterling HEAVYWEIGHT Diamond Plate Shelf Support System Shelf Bracket is a great shelving option for those who need heavy-duty support. The slots have a width of 1/8" and a spacing of 7/16" (center-to-center). These brackets have been used to hold up to 16 foot 3/4 inch plywood shelves in garages and have also been used to mount soundbars below flat screens. They are easy to install and can be cut down to a smaller size if needed. This particular item is the track support that gets screwed into the wall and each shelf bracket sold separately requires four slots. The brackets are uncoated and made of great quality material, making them rust-free and sturdy. However, these brackets are not compatible with the John sterling fast mount system or with commercial shelf systems that have three notches with a 1/4 inch opening.
