The Microsoft Surface Ergonomic Keyboard is a Bluetooth keyboard that is compatible with Windows 10, Surface Pro 4, Surface Book and Surface Studio devices. It is not backward-compatible with Bluetooth 3.0 devices, and only Bluetooth 4.0 devices are compatible. Most reviewers commended the keyboard stating that it provided excellent ergonomics and feels great to type on. The keyboard was well-priced, and the size was perfect according to a customer review. However, the key spacing is a bit tight, according to another report. The Alcantara wrist rest that is supposed to ooze luxury was, however, a common complaint. Many found the material to be impractical as it discolors and captures oils from a user's hands, leaving unsightly patches that don't come off easily. The product also could not connect to more than one device at a time, which could be an inconvenience for some users, and there were issues with the Bluetooth connectivity being unstable. As a result, typing quickly could be a nightmare at times. There were also reports about the product arriving damaged, and the space bar being squeaky, which could be off-putting. There was also no capability to switch between multiple computers like the MS ergonomic mouse, but this did not cause many issues. Overall, the product had poor connectivity issues with Bluetooth and had several drawbacks; however, it was well-liked for its ergonomic design and the feel of the typing. Otherwise, it could be an attractive keyboard for people who need to switch devices frequently.
