The lids are difficult to remove, making them unsuitable for young children to open at school, but the stainless steel inside makes it easy to clean. One reviewer suggested a method of pouring hot water into the container before discarding and filling with hot food, then wrapping the container in aluminum foil to keep it warm for up to 4-5 hours. Despite their poor heat retention and difficult-to-remove lids, they are still popular for their low cost, convenience for lunch boxes, and are favorable for use with cold foods.
