The Dish Network Dish Pro Hybrid Solo Hub is a device that is designed to work with the Hopper system of the Dish Network. The device has a switch and is used to split the signal from the Hopper to the Joey receivers. If you have the Hopper system in your house, you will need this hub to get the signal to your Joey receivers. The hub is not required for those using only one Hopper with no Joey receivers. In addition, those using a wireless Joey receiver will not need the hub. If you are using two VIP211z receivers, the hub will not work, as the device is only designed to work with the Hopper system. The hub cannot be used to send signals to two Wally receivers, and it is not compatible with the Wineguard Pathway X2. If you're looking to use the hub to hook up another 211z receiver, they recommend replacing the Dish Hybrid Pro with a Dish Pro Plus and removing the hub. Remember that each 211z receiver needs a direct line from the dish, so you don't want to use any splitters.
