Stop-Rot Penetrating Epoxy is an effective product for repairing rotten wood. However, it is not intended for use on exterior wood beams as it needs to be painted afterwards to protect it from direct UV rays. Additionally, the product is thick and goopy, making it difficult to use as a surface coat. It works great for rot, but if used on flooring, it is advised to do a trial run first. For optimal results, it is recommended to drill 1/4" holes vertically and fill them using a syringe and wait 24 hours before top-coating. Finally, the product will dry completel clear.
