Answer: The amount of illuminated area depends on the desired location. One customer hung 6 lights in a 24x41 steel building and found it to be well illuminated. -

Do you have to pull the chain to turn them on?
Answer: No, once the pull chains are in the ON position, you can simply flip the light switch to turn them on if they are wired to the switch.
