The Express Water RO5DX 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System is recommended for those looking for a high-quality build and fantastic water taste. It is relatively easy to install and has a mineral-rich alkaline filter, which raises the pH of the water to around 7.5-8.5 while filtering out harmful chemicals and contaminants such as chloramines and fluoride. It can lower ppm from >150 to just under 20. The system incorporates various medias such as mineral stone, alkaline stone, calcite, far-infrared ceramic, and maifan stones to continually supply the purified RO water with essential minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and Zinc. The system has a storage tank and comes with an airbag that compresses when the tank is filled with water, creating pressure inside the tank, which is used to push the water out of the tank when the faucet is opened. The UV light is always on, and the only thing separating the water from the UV bulb is a clear tube. The discharge rate for the system is 3-4 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of purified water, and this could change due to incoming water pressure, quality, and temperature. Although the company recommends filter changes at every six months or sooner depending on the quality of water used, some customers encountered leaks, difficult installation, poor instructions, and minor design flaws with the faucet thickness and water's heat. However, the manufacturer's warranty and customer service are excellent, with one of them swiftly replacing a broken quartz tube free of charge.
