It is not suitable for use inside the house during a blackout due to the danger of carbon monoxide. While the stove can use wood as fuel, users may have to deal with the soot. According to reviews, the ESBIT camping stove is overpriced for what it offers. The stamped metal tray with a handle, lid, and stove base designed specifically to hold hexamine tablets seemed slightly bent upon arrival and made from flimsy metal. The stove does not support uneven terrain, and the pot only holds about 700-800ml of liquid rather than the advertised 1100ml. However, buyers noted that the kit is very lightweight and comes equipped with a mesh carry bag for easy transport and storage.
