I only use this material outdoors. When I see a rat eating wildbird seed, I sprinkle this , deep in the undergrowth where the birds can't get through and that is the last I see of rats for about 6 months.

Will it still work if it gets rained on? Will birds and hedgehogs be poisoned by it?

Not sure if it will still work if it gets rained on. It's not pet friendly so I wouldn't put it outside where birds and other wildlife could come into contact with it.

Will the rats die indoors under the floor boards?

I assume they will die under the floor boards since I don't see many dead rats.

Why does it say on the packet of bait not to open the sachets?

This is written on the sachet as it is a requirement by the HSE.

Do I need rat bait as well or will the rats eat the poison by itself?

I placed the Formula B in a shallow container and the rats ate from there. Rat problem solved. Would probably need a bait box if poison is to be used where pets and animals can access it.

How long does it take to kill the mice/rats?

It took about 3 days for the rats to be eliminated.

Will this work on squirrels?

I don't know, I used it on rats and it worked in 3 days.

Is it animal friendly?

It is only 'animal friendly' if you use this poison within an enclosure so only rats/mice can get to it. It is poison to all small animals and might make larger ones very sick.

Does it kill mice too?

I haven't seen the baby mice or the rat anymore near my rabbits cages so I will assume it does.
